Annual Christmas Day Cookie Project
When does the Project start?
About the Project
Have you ever had to go to the ER at night? Ever needed assistance from the fire department during the weekend? Remember seeing the police working to keep you safe during a holiday celebration? We can count on these rock star emergency professionals to care for us when we are sick, protect us from disaster, and keep us safe and secure 24/7/365, including major holidays when they would rather be home with their families. How can we show our appreciation to these hard-working members of our community?
Our PC! PDX group ends our THIRD❣️ year of events on a very sweet note with our Annual Christmas Day Cookie Project, appreciating emergency workers all over the metro area. So . . . pull out your favorite recipes and fire up those ovens, because it’s baking time!
On Wednesday, December 25th, at 1:00 pm, bring 4-6 dozen cookies to the Conference Rm. at Windermere Realty Trust on SW Beaverton-Highway near Scholls Ferry Road. (Note that the Conference room and parking is around the back of the building.) One group of us then will mix, arrange, and wrap the cookies onto plates with pretty ribbon, while the other group makes colorful and creative thank-you cards to be attached to each cookie plate.
Once the cookie plates and cards are assembled, you might choose to join us for the feels-oh-so-good delivery! If you're a delivery "go," we'll give you a list of a few places around the metro area to deliver. You might be dropping off the goodies to emergency personnel working in a hospital, fire department, or police department.
This is the perfect event for all ages--from baking in your home, to making the cards, to delivering the cookies! We hope you, your family, and your friends join us! Can’t come, but you’re happy to bake? Let us know in the comments, and we’ll make plans to get the cookies from you!
What to Bring:
Although there's no pressure to bring anything but your caring self, we would appreciate any help with the following supplies: • 4-6 dozen cookies • Wrapping supplies: scissors, tape, clear or colored plastic wrap, curling ribbon • Card-making supplies: paper, markers, crayons, stickers, scissors, glue, hole punches, etc.
